Urban Food Enthusiast
Director of Research
When we learned that Jessica was a former zookeeper, we knew she was the right person for the job. Jessica graduated Magna Cum Laude in Biology/Zoology from Western Washington University.
Her command of the fundamentals of research and the scientific method is now applied to credit unions. Her work supports the development of programs, identification of partners and workable statistics for CDFI grant applications. Where previously she maintained complex, multi-relational databases and assisted in the management of large-scale acoustic telemetry studies (HTI/JSATS) to assess juvenile salmonid distribution, she now quantifies and documents the development needs in communities served by CDFIs.
Born and raised in Tacoma, the City of Destiny, Jessica enjoys glassblowing, gardening and hugging trees.
Jessica joined CU Strategic Planning in 2016. Although she’s a lifelong credit union member, she’s new to the credit union movement. She is passionate about community-supported agriculture and the eating local movement.
