CDFI and Credit Union Compliance

CDFI Reporting

With the benefits of CDFI programs comes the responsibility of compliance. We take care of the burden so you can focus on running your credit union. There are two mandatory annual reports:

1) Annual CDFI Certification Reporting

2) Grant Reporting for award winners

Annual CDFI Certification Reporting

All community development financial institutions (CDFIs) are required to complete an Annual Certification Report to keep their CDFI certification. If your credit union is applying for a grant, waiting for funding, or the recipient of a CDFI Award in the last three years, you must submit an annual report. Let us take the burden off your team.

Why is this important?

  • A CDFI that fails to complete its Annual Certification Report loses its credentials.

  • Have a pending grant? Certification must be valid for your grant to be approved.

  • Waiting to receive grant monies? Treasury will not release funding to winners without valid certification.

FAQ

  • Due Date: For most credit unions, July 31st. (Treasury may change without notice.)

  • Submission: CDFI Fund’s Awards Management Information System, lovingly known as AMIS.

  • Try it yourself: Certification Reporting Instructions

  • Contract with us early. Do not put your CU at risk of being waitlisted.
